The annual Light up the Night Hillsborough Holiday Parade will take place Sunday, December 1 p.m., 2019, starting around 4:15 p.m., in Downtown Hillsborough.
The Grand Marshal is America’s Got Talent and American Idol standout, Adam Lee Decker.
The parade will feature:
- Out-going Mayor Tom Stevens
- Mayor-elect Jenn Weaver
- Town Board members
- Bands
- Local and area businesses
- Cheerleaders
- Dance troupes
- Mascots Santa Claus
The parade will travel through downtown Hillsborough, south on Churton St from Corbin St to Margaret Ln, where the event will conclude on the Old Courthouse Square with a tree lighting ceremony and community sing, featuring performances from Bull City Music School and Steph Perry music.
Food will be available for purchase, starting at 3 p.m., including:
- Korean BBQ
- Tacos
- Fritters
- sweets
- Kettle Corn
The food trucks will be located in the parking lot of the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce at 200 Churton St, and around the Old Courthouse Square.
