Apex Tree Lighting
The Apex Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place Friday, December 2nd, 2022, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at The Depot.
Join Apex Town Council in downtown Apex as the tree at The Depot is lit! Santa and Mrs. Claus join in on the fun throughout the event. Event Details:
- 4:30 pm: Performance by Lufkin Road Middle School students
- 4:55 pm: Performance by Apex High and Apex Friendship High students
- 5:30 pm: Performance by Apex Friendship Elementary students
- 5:45 pm: Tree Lighting with Apex Town Council
Apex Rotary Parade

The Apex Rotary Christmas Parade is on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, at 5 p.m. It starts at the intersection of Ambergate Station and The Peakway, heading down Salem Street and ending at the Apex Public Works Building on Upchurch Street.
This year’s parade theme is Gingerbread Lane.
All proceeds from parade entrants will benefit Western Wake Crisis Ministry and, to Honor the Apex Police Department and the Apex Fire Department, proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics NC Torch Run and the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center as well.
Gingerbread Lane
On December 3rd, 2022, from 1 to 8 p.m., Gingerbread Lane will take place at The Depot Parking Lot, 220 N Salem Street, Apex, North Carolina.
Gingerbread Lane will feature crafts and activities for children.
Saturdays on Salem — Santa Visit
For three Saturdays, December 3rd, 10th, and 17th, 2022, Downtown Apex will host holiday open houses, live music, pop-up markets and story times with Mrs. Claus. Santa will be visiting Downtown Apex from 4 to 6 p.m. on those days. Read more about Saturdays on Salem.
