New Hope Valley Railway is also known as Triangle’s Train, and is at 3900 Bonsal Road, New Hill, North Carolina, which is just 24 miles to the southwest of Raleigh.
New Hope Valley Railway’s (NHVR) family-friendly Track or Treat: Halloween Express takes place on October 10, 17 and 23 and 24, 2026.
- Friday departures are at 5:15, 6:30, and 7:45 p.m.
- Saturday departures are at 2:15, 3:30, 4:45, 6:30 , and 7:45 p.m.
Climb aboard for a festive ride through the woods, where Halloween surprises wait around every curve. Watch closely for Count Dracula, witches, bubbling cauldrons, pumpkin characters, and other friendly spooky visitors. You may even catch a glimpse of the ghost train—or the legendary Headless Brakeman!
Tickets for Track or Treat are $18.61 (including fees.)
