One of the most spectacular Christmas light displays in the Triangle is in Wake Forest. Piper Lights is the project of a family who really loves Christmas. They’re at 5725 Fixit Shop Road, Wake Forest.
Love Christmas lights? Check out our huge list of the best, most incredible, Christmas light displays in the Triangle.
The display includes 7 acres of lights.
NOTE: We haven’t seen yet if this year, Piper Lights will be ONLY a drive-thru attraction, or if you can walk around and visit the candy store and go on the train. Those features have not taken place in a few years.
This is a free attraction.
Make sure to check Piper Lights’ Facebook page for updates and schedule changes. Weather can affect the schedule. Sometimes they have to close for a couple days after rain or snow.
The display starts Friday, November 29, 2024 (the day after Thanksgiving), and runs through January 1, 2025. Hours:
- Sunday-Thursday: 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Admission is always free, but donations are greatly appreciated. Piper Lights is not a business but just a family who wants to share the joys of the season with the community. All donations go to light repairs and the electric bill.
This is a popular attraction and can draw a crowd. You might find smaller crowds and shorter wait times if you come during the week, instead of the weekend.
