PORCHfest is a free event on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Southern Village, 212 Lake Manor Road, Chapel Hill, on the Lawn.
The event includes live music, games, and activities for kids.
The performance schedule for PORCHfest is:
- 4 pm Chapel Hill School of Rock
- 5 pm Skipsations
- 6 pm Craicdown
The band Craicdown will take the stage. Craicdown describes its music as “World Acousticana”–acoustic roots music with a high-energy, rock inspired flair, and musical influences form many parts of the world.
Several Southern Village restaurants will be giving a portion of their proceeds to PORCH, an all-volunteer, grassroots hunger relief organization. PORCH collects food and cash donations through monthly neighborhood food drives, and distributes food to hundreds of at-risk families in the community.
