For the 4th year, head to Durham Central Park for Pi Day in the Park. On Friday, March 14, 2025, starting at 4 p.m., look for the table where they’ll be giving out free slices of pie. They’ll be there until the pie is all gone.
Pi Day in the Park is all about strengthening authentic community connections, without any commercialization.
At Pi Day in the Park, the pies are all baked by community members. If you’d like to contribute a homemade pie, just drop it off at the park around 4 p.m.
Instructions for Pie Bakers:
- Bake a pie (or more!) Any kind of pie is fine! If you go the savory route, please keep in mind that there isn’t a way to keep things warm.
- Make a label with ingredients, Name Your Pie, and put your name on it if you want credit. (Optional)
- Drop it off at the park around 4 p.m. on Friday. The organizers will be there for a few hours, or until the pie runs out!
- If you’re not able to drop it off, let the organizer know and they can coordinate to pick it up Thursday or Wednesday in Durham. Go to the Facebook event for contact info.
- The organizers will handle the table, places, utensils, signs, garbage pickup, and handing out slices.
