Interested in not cooking on New Year’s Day 2026? Check out this growing list of restaurants in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and the rest of the Triangle that are open on January 1st, 2026.
Most listed will be available for take-out as well, and, in some cases, delivery.
Most (if not all) will also be open on New Year’s Eve.
Some will serve a special New Year’s Eve or Day meal, and some will serve their regular menu. Reservations will fill up early for many of these spots.
If you’re seeing this in time, and you’d like to order a New Year’s feast for your home, we also have a list of restaurants, grocery stores, and caterers that provide prepared meals for New Year’s. You need to order these ahead of time. They typically serve 2-6 people, but on occasion, you can find a meal for one. (You might have more luck with a meal for one on the list on this page though.)
