Haw River Festival takes place Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., near Haw River Ballroom, 1711 Saxapahaw-Bethlehem Church Road, Saxapahaw, North Carolina.
Haw River Festival is the kickoff to this season’s Saturdays in Saxapahaw concerts.
Admission is free. Donations are appreciated.

Besides the music, the festival includes:
- A giant puppet parade by the Paperhand Puppet Project
- 2026 Haw River Assembly T-Shirt Sale (A teaser photo of this year’s festival t-shirt art is attached.)
- A guided birding walk by Almetta Fearrington
- Hands-on stream monitoring demonstrations by Haw River Assembly staff and volunteers
- Canoe rides for kids by Haw River Canoe and Kayak
- Food trucks & local farmers market
- Silent auction

They’re raffling off a “Weekender” inflatable stand-up paddleboard, plus a $200 gift card, generously donated by Great Outdoor Provision Company. Raffle tickets are available online through May 1, at the Saxapahaw General Store, and the day of the festival.
Free Admission! All donations and proceeds from the raffle and silent auction benefit Haw River Assembly and their mission to defend the watershed.
Parking is limited, so car pooling is encouraged.
Please note that dogs are not allowed.
