The Barn of Chapel Hill at Wild Flora Farm is hosting a Halloween Spooktacular on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The cost is $8 a person, or $30 for a family ticket, up to 6 people. Ages 2 and under are admitted for free. Use code EARLYBIRD until Monday, October 23, 2023, for half off ticket price.
This family-friendly event includes:
- Halloween costume contest
- Pumpkin carving
- Live animals
- Tarot readings
- Outdoor movie: Hotel Transylvania
- Food and drink
Event Schedule:
- 6 p.m.: The doors swing open, and the first 25 guests receive free candy apples and tote bags!
- 6:15 p.m.: Story time and treats on the lawn for preschool and elementary-aged visitors.
- 6:30 – 8 p.m.: Spread your blanket on the lawn and immerse yourself in the magical world of Hotel Transylvania. The Barn of Chapel Hill will provide the popcorn, kid-friendly beverages, and specially crafted Halloween treats.
- 6 to 8 p.m.: Get up close and personal with feathered and scaly friends, courtesy of Piedmont Wildlife Center. Experience the art of live pumpkin carving in action, groove to some hauntingly good music, discover your destiny with tarot card readings, explore specialty vendor tables, and unleash your creativity at the pumpkin craft station. For the littlest ghosts and goblin visitors, there’s a not-so-spooky Halloween candy egg hunt in the Haunted Forest.

Description of “Hotel Transylvania” (PG): When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. One special weekend, Dracula invites all his best friends- Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Werewolf family, and more-to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez). When an ordinary human stumbles upon the hotel, hilarity and spooktacular adventures ensue! Perfectly spine-tingling entertainment for all ages.
