WRITING TO ENVISION YOUR LIFE (age 16+)
Tuesday | Sep 5-26 | 5:30 – 7 p.m. | Screened in Porch Bond Park
Encourage your inner muse to come out through creative writing! In a supportive environment using inspiring writing suggestions and mindfulness-based exercises, we’ll explore life’s journeys and the world around us. No previous writing experience needed.
CARDIO FIT (age 18 & up)

This energetic low-impact class combines a moderate to high intensity workout with advanced choreography to enhance overall fitness.
ZUMBA® (age 18 & up)
Tuesday | Sep 5-26 | 6:30-7:30 p.m. | Bond Park Community Center
Get fit while you dance! Zumba® is a Latin-inspired, dance fitness class incorporating Latin and International music and movement. The cardio-based dance moves are easy-to-follow and designed to target legs, arms, core abdominal, and the most important muscle in the body — the heart!
FOUNDATIONS OF STRENGTH TRAINING (AGE 18 & up)
Tuesday and Thursday | Sep 5-28 | 6-7 p.m. | Herb Young Community Center
This one-hour strength training session will focus on the importance of stabilization (balance), strength, and endurance. Exercises using the body’s own resistance, along with other fitness equipment, will be incorporated to help build muscle strength and increase endurance.
CARDIO-CORE-STRENGTH CIRCUIT (age 18 & up)
Wednesday | Sep 6-27 | 6:00-7:00 p.m. | Middle Creek Community Center
This is a full-body fitness class. Participants will move in groups to different stations, including cardio, resistance, strength training, and core exercises.
CARDIO-CORE-STRENGTH FITNESS (age 18 & up)
Tuesday & Thursday | Sep 7-28 | 9-10 a.m. | Middle Creek Community Center
In this class, we will focus on toning, strengthening, balance, cardio, abdominal, and core work. We will use a variety of different exercise equipment during the six-week session. Each class can be done at low-, moderate-, or high-impact levels.
DANCEIT (age 16 & up)
Monday and Wednesday | Sep 11-27 | 9:10-10:10 a.m. | Middle Creek Community Center
Strengthen your body and mind with this well-balanced whole-body workout. The up-beat inspirational music carries you through movements designed to release everyday stresses and get you fit! For dancers and non-dancers alike.
LUNCHTIME VINYASA YOGA (age 18 & up)
Wednesday | Sep 13-27 | Noon-1:00 p.m. | Herbert C. Young Community Center
This vinyasa flow class focuses on connecting movements to the breath. You’ll be guided slowly and mindfully through a series of poses in a relaxed atmosphere.
PILATES/YOGA FUSION (age 18 & up)
Mondays | Sep 18-25 | 10:15 – 11:15 p.m. | Middle Creek Community Center
Yoga/Pilates Fusion is a blend of yoga asanas and Pilates exercises to help you get more toned and flexible. This class is for all levels; the exercises can easily be modified to work with any fitness level.
SENIORS IN MOTION (age 55 & up)

Join us for one of our most popular senior fitness classes! Exercise to the tunes you enjoy, with friends old and new! Improve your cardiovascular, strength and flexibility with this workout.
SENIOR fIT, FUN, AND STRENGTH (age 55 & up)
Tuesday & Thursday | Sep 7-28 | 10:15-11 a.m. | Middle Creek Community Center
This class will focus on strength, low-impact cardio, and balance. There will be no floor core exercises. Instead, this will be a fun, full-body workout class incorporating light weights and resistance bands.
RECIPES FOR LIFE: SENIOR STORIES AND RECIPES FROM THE HEART AND STOVE (AGE 55+)
Monday | Sep 11-25 | 1-3 p.m. | Page-Walker Arts & History Center
If you’ve wanted to share favorite recipes and capture for future generations stories connected to traditional family foods, this class is for you. This writing class for seniors will focus on compiling beloved recipes and writing stories that illuminate family heritage.
Free Drop-In Sports
Have you heard of pickleball and wanted to give it a try? Or maybe you are a seasoned badminton or volleyball player looking for gym space to play. Drop-in sports activities at the community centers will be FREE the entire month of September! Find the Open Gym Schedule here.
