Durham Parks & Recreation is providing several FREE festive events to the Durham community. All of these events are free, but some require pre-registration. Follow each link for more information.

Durham Holiday Parade
The Durham Holiday Parade will take place Saturday, December 17th, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. It will feature floats, mascots, hometown bands, drill teams, school and community groups, and, of course, Santa.
The parade will start at the Health Department (Main and Dillard Streets) and end near Duke University East Campus (Main Street and Buchanan Boulevard).
Santa Paws
Bring your pup to meet Santa Paws on Friday, December 2nd, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Durham Armory, 212 Foster Street, Durham.
The event includes:
- Pet pictures with Santa
- Holiday pet market
- Ugly sweater contest
- Canine food drive
- Food vendors
