If cooking dinner doesn’t sound like a holiday to you here’s a list of Triangle restaurants open on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, 2026. Most of these restaurants have special Thanksgiving meals. Many will fill up early, so make sure to make reservations right away. There are a few takeout options included in this list as well.
These restaurants are in all price ranges. We abandoned our “cheap stuff only” rule for this list. If you’re expecting “on the cheap” options, some won’t fit the bill! But if you value not cooking and cleaning enough, and just want to spend time with family, maybe you won’t mind splurging. However, there are some bargains mixed in too!
Want to eat at home, but not cook? That’s an option too! Check out our list of Thanksgiving to-go meals! Many of these are prepared family-style, with mains, sides, and desserts, and you just need to heat them up. But you need to order in advance so don’t delay.
Restaurants in the Triangle open on Thanksgiving
Please follow each link to the restaurant’s website for information and to verify. You’ll definitely need to make a reservation at the higher-end restaurants on this list, but we’ve provided information some last-minute drop-in restaurants as well! In the case of chain restaurants, make sure to verify with the location of your choice, as plans might vary.

Serving Thanksgiving Dinner featuring a slow-roasted turkey entrée at $52 for adults and $20 for children. Full dinner menu is also available. Additional Thanksgiving sides and a pumpkin cheesecake dessert will be available for purchase.

The Carolina Inn will be offering a Thanksgiving Lunch Buffet at their Crossroads Restaurant for $100 (plus tax and service charge) per person. Children 5 and under eat free. The buffet will feature the following options:
- Salads: Fall Harvest salad or Classic Caesar salad
- Soup: Butternut squash and apple bisque soup
- Carving Stations: Roasted turkey with gravy, honey-roasted ham with whole-grain mustard, and prime rib with horseradish cream
- Sides: Green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, glazed baby carrots, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, and rolls
- Dessert: Chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, or apple spice cake

They’ll be serving a special limited menu for Thanksgiving starting at 11 a.m.

The Restaurant at The Durham hotel will be offering a family-style Thanksgiving feast for $85 per adult and $35 for children 10 and under. They will be serving multiple holiday favorites including the following:
