
The Orange County Veterans Day Celebration takes place Thursday, November 11th, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Southern Human Services Campus, 2501 Homestead Drive, Chapel Hill, NC.
This event is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing are required.

- Posting of the Colors with Pledge of Allegiance: Orange County Sheriff’s Office
- Invocation: The Rev. Albert Williams, U.S. Army
- National Anthem: Alan Best, The Tan & Sober Gentlemen
- Recognition of Veterans: Peggy Wilmoth, U.S. Army
- Recognition of Elected Officials: Allen Buansi, Chapel Hill Town Council
- Introduction of Speaker: Orange County Commissioner Renee Price
- Speaker: Sheriff Charles Blackwood
- Memorial Update and Closing Remarks: Bruce Runberg, U.S. Navy
- Retiring of the Colors: Orange County Sheriff’s Office
- Sounding of Taps
Parking is available at site. There will be a meet and greet, with refreshments, following the ceremony.
