UNC-TV is presenting a free preview screening of Something in the Water: A Kinston Basketball Story and Virtual Discussion on Thursday, November 5th, 2020, at 7 p.m.

This special event begins with a preview screening of the docu-short film Something in the Water: A Kinston Basketball Story. The film explores the remarkably high percentage of Kinston High School varsity basketball team members who make it to the NBA.
Following the screening, join UNC-TV’s Drew Smith, a former television sports reporter, for an engaging, virtual panel discussion and Q&A featuring the filmmaker Marcus Mizelle. Mizelle and special guests will discuss the film and the magic behind Kinston High’s rich basketball tradition.
