All goods sold were produced within 50 miles of the Market, and the farmers and artisans themselves run the Market. In fact, the actual owner of each business or farm is present at Market each week.

Join the Carrboro Farmers’ Market in celebrating our region’s humble root vegetables in honor of the start of our winter market season. Saturday, November 1st is the first Saturday of the Market’s winter hours on Saturday (9am-12pm), and is the perfect time to celebrate our root vegetables perfect for all of your upcoming Thanksgiving and holiday dishes. Fill your market baskets with seasonal favorites like sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, onions, ginger, potatoes, and more – all grown within 50 miles. At Root Fest, shoppers can enjoy vendor specials that feature root vegetables, an educational display about sweet potatoes (North Carolina’s state vegetable!), samples of recipes that feature root vegetables to inspire your shopping, a raffle with root trivia, and much more.
