The South Raleigh Heritage Strolls highlight the rich history of South Raleigh and focus on many aspects of African American heritage in the region.
The tours take place Saturday, October 15th, 2022. They’re free and registration is not required. There are two versions of the tour.

The first tour is from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and is 3 miles long.
The second tour is from 2 to 3 p.m. and is 1.5 miles long.
They both start from the John P “Top” Community Center, at 401 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Raleigh, NC.
The tours will include stops at several City of Raleigh Historic Sites (e.g. Top Greene Community Center, Pope House Museum, Moore Square) as well as other extant and no longer extant historic resources (e.g. Shaw University properties, Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, Lightner Arcade, Lincoln Theater).
