Shrektoberfest Block Party at DSSOLVR Durham Sept 27

DSSOLVR, at 630 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham, North Carolina, is hosting Shrektoberfest Block Party on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Shrektoberfest Schedule

12 to 5 p.m.: Shrektoberfest Art Market. Browse through a curated selection of local artisans offering Shrek-themed creations, fairy tale-inspired crafts, and unique handmade goods.
12 to 3 p.m.: Three Count Records spinning swamp-worthy tunes.
2 p.m.: Then, it’s the “Shrekstravagant Feast Onion Eating Contest!” Ogres are like onions. Onions have layers. Ogres have layers. Gift cards & Shrek-themed goodies await the onion-eating champion.
3 p.m.: “Ogre-Achiever Shrek Trivia!” Throw down that extra swampy knowledge and conquer four rounds of Shrek Trivia hosted by Thor with Hammered Trivia.
4 p.m.: “Straight Outta Swampton Costume Contest!” Dress up as your favorite fairytale character, for a chance to win gift cards, Shrek swag, and more.
5 p.m.: “Ogre and Ogrette Steinhold Competition”
