Pullen Park, 520 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, is hosting its Scarecrow Festival and Pumpkin Patch Bash on Saturday, October 3rd 2020, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Scarecrow Festival
The Scarecrow Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
It’s free to participate but you need to sign up. To register go to RecLink and search for program #259399.
You’ll need to register each person who will want to build a scarecrow. All supports and stuffing material will be provided. You bring the clothing you’d like your scarecrow to wear, and a scarecrow head.
All scarecrows remain on display as long as weather permits, so please plan to leave your scarecrow at Pullen Park. Please be aware your items will not be returned.
The program is listed as being for ages 1-99, but I’d bet you anything they wouldn’t turn away a 100-year-old who wanted to build a scarecrow.
Pumpkin Patch Bash
Then, the Pumpkin Patch Bash takes place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Purchase a pumpkin at the Pullen Park Pumpkin Patch Bash! Decorate and take it home or choose to put it on display at the park!
Stick around for the foam punkin-chunkin contest at 1 p.m. Registration is required. Register online via RecLink using barcode 259400.
