
The Town of Carrboro is presenting a Poets Party on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Drakeford Library Complex, 203 S Greensboro Street, Carrboro, North Carolina.
This event is free and open to the community.
This event will serve as a farewell to the current Carrboro Poet Laureate, Liza Wolff-Francis, and to welcome the town’s new Poet Laureate, Dr. Amanda Bennett.
The evening will include readings by many local poets along with the poet laureates. Enjoy refreshments and a wine bar throughout the event. Come and celebrate poetry.
