Downtown Raleigh is holding its first ever Open Streets event, Stroll in the Streets, on Sunday, October 17th, 2021, from noon to 5 p.m.
At Open Streets events, streets are closed to cars, and open to walkers, bike riders and scooter riders. There are typically stations along the way to try different activities.

Stroll in the Streets will be take place on a 1.3-mile stretch along Lenoir Street and South Saunders Street, between Chavis and Dix Parks.
Along the way there will be art stations, play stations, food trucks and more.
The Chavis-Dix Strollway is being planned, and one of the goals of this event is to imagine the possibilities. A survey at the information tent at Wilmington Street and Lenoir Street will ask you what would make the strollway accessible, meaningful and inviting to you.
