National Night Out is a program that encourages local police departments to connect with the community in a fun way, and encourages the community members to stand together for safety and awareness. The official date is the first Tuesday in August, although not all communities hold their National Night Out event on that date.
Some National Night Out events are for the general public and some are for members of specific communities or neighborhoods.

The Fuquay-Varina Police Department is celebrating with an open house and celebration at the Fuquay-Varina Police Department on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. The address is 401 Old Honeycutt Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Attendees will experience informative demonstrations, vehicle displays, food, fun, music, and an opportunity to meet employees of the Fuquay-Varina Police Department. They also partner with other law enforcement agencies, service agencies, and businesses. You can even visit with McGruff the Crime Dog.
