The Choral Society of Durham is a group that shares a common interest in high quality performance of significant choral literature, both sacred and secular.
The group is hosting virtual sing-alongs. They’re free to attend, but please consider a donation to the community non-profit organization featured each month.

7 p.m.Alternately robustly brash and lyrically intimate, Francis Poulenc’s setting of the words “Glory to God in the highest” is a pleasure to listen to and even more fun to sing. He even claimed that the jaunty “Laudamus te” movement had been inspired by the sight of Benedictine monks playing soccer! Though written in Paris 60 years ago, Poulenc’s Gloria was first performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, shortly after the composer visited the US.
Join us on Sunday, April 18 at 7pm for this season’s final installment of our virtual Sing-along series! We’d love to count you among the hundreds of singers who have joined us in musical community. As one of our participants stated: “This is a lovely way to share the wonder of choral music.”
All are welcome to participate in our sing-alongs with no cost to register. Instead, we hope you will consider making a donation to a community nonprofit organization we will feature each month during our program. The non-profit for April is Communities in Partnership.
