Loose Leaf Gallery, upstairs in the Durham Food Hall, 530 Foster Street, Durham, North Carolina, is featuring the exhibit “Wild Things and Found Things,” for Third Friday, on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m.
It’s free to attend. Please RSVP.
Please note that the gallery is accessible only via stairs.
Join us for a playful, powerful exhibition featuring work by three Durham artists who channel the natural world through recycled materials and found objects, giving new life to things others leave behind.
Jason C. Hill creates moody plant and animal portraits from repurposed paper. Lynette Johnson transforms discarded plastic into monumental, luminous flowers. Noah Leesnitzer prints the passage of time with cross-sections of massive trees.
Live music featuring vocalist Sarah Jaye plus DJ Wasup Doc. Artmaking workshop in partnership with The Scrap Exchange. Cocktails available for purchase at the Riggs Lounge. Small bites by DFH chefs. Free and open to the public! Art available for purchase.
Loose Leaf Gallery will be hosting Third Friday art events the third Friday of the month, through the rest of 2025, and beyond.
