Juneteenth at City of Raleigh Museum: History Lecture June 19

City of Raleigh Museum, 220 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. is hosting a learning opportunity for Juneteenth on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Torrey Dixon will speak about the legal journey of Juneteenth, The Road from Emancipation to Freedom.

Born in the last capital of the Southern Confederacy (Danville, Va), Special Deputy Attorney General Torrey Dixon, who began his career as a civil rights attorney, will deliver the second of a two-part series on the legal and historical significance of Juneteenth in spoken word.

Presented by the City of Raleigh Museum in Partnership with the Capital City Lawyers Association.
