Holi is a popular Hindu festival. It’s also known as the “Festival of Love,” “The Festival of Colors,” and “The Festival of Spring.”
The most well-known aspect of Holi is a free-for-all throwing of colored powders. If you go to a Holi celebration be prepared to get covered with colors!

Hindu Society of North Carolina is joining up with Durham County Library to present a family program about Holi. Participants will learn about the cultural traditions behind the Festival of Colors, and then head outside to play with colored powder and enjoy music.
