Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration with Book Harvest Sept. 20: story times, cultural activities and free books to take home!

Book Harvest is hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Book Harvest Family Space, 2501 University Drive, Durham, North Carolina.

This is a free event.

The event includes:

Bilingual Storytime Sessions: Experience the magic of storytelling in both English and Spanish with beloved children’s books by Latino authors and illustrators. Our interactive read-alouds will feature classics and contemporary favorites that celebrate Hispanic culture and heritage.
Cultural Activities for Children: Kids will enjoy hands-on activities inspired by Hispanic traditions
Entertainment: Performances by local artists will share traditional songs and contemporary Latino music, creating a joyful atmosphere that celebrates the diverse musical heritage of Hispanic communities.
Free Books: All families will get to enjoy the Family Space and harvest books to take home & keep forever!
