Oliver Nestus Freeman Round House and African-American Museum, at 1202 Nash Street East, Wilson, NC, shares African-American history, art and culture. It’s free to visit.
The museum holds a free outdoor concert series in the summer. The summer concert series takes place on Sundays from May to July, 2023, weather permitting, at 6 p.m. on the lawn of the museum.
The only exception is the kick-off concert, which takes place on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, 301 Goldsboro Street South, Wilson, NC. This concert is from 4 to 6 p.m., and features Miss Mini, JC Artis, Mia Harris, and The Sandman Band. (This is a rain date from the original date of April 30, 2023.
