The Durham Symphony Orchestra performs affordably priced and free concerts in a wide variety of community spaces, including Durham’s landmark venues The Carolina Theatre and the Hayti Heritage Center.

On Friday, February 14, 2025, at 8 p.m., The Durham Symphony is presenting Voices of the Unarmed: Justice, Love, Resilience at Carolina Theatre, 309 W Morgan Street, Durham, North Carolina.

This concert honors Black History Month with an impassioned program weaving together music, text, and conversation, exploring the themes of justice, love, and resilience.
Each work uniquely elevates the human drive to prevail, with compassion and love, in the face of inequity. The audience is invited to a post-concert discussion with the artists.
