When does Daylight Saving Time start? Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 10, 2024, and lasts until November 3, 2024. If you have clocks that don’t automatically adjust, you’ll need to set them ahead one hour, before you go to bed on Saturday, March 9.
Once Daylight Saving Time starts, you’ll get one extra hour of daylight in the evening, but one fewer hour of daylight in the morning. (Eventually, the number of daylight hours will increase, until the time of summer solstice, when they’ll start decreasing.)
Many people feel tired from losing that one hour of sleep on Saturday night / Sunday morning, so some businesses offer special deals to compensate for it.
Here’s one! (And we’ll add more if they’re announced.)
Grubhub / CVS Deal
CVS is a new partner of Grubhub, so now you can order many drustore items through Grubhub. From March 9 to 13, 2024, customers who order $20 or more from CVS, through Grubhub, can choose a free “Daylight Saving Time” essential item.
The Daylight Saving Time Essentials will be listed as a special menu category from CVS on Grubhub, and will include items like:
- CELSIUS Sparkling Peach Vibe and original Red Bull for that much-needed AM boost
- Burt’s Bees Rejuvenating Eye Mask for any puffiness
- CVS Alkaline batteries – let Daylight Saving be a reminder to change out important batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Just choose one and add it to your order. The cost will be automatically deducted.
The $20 minimum order doesn’t include tax and fees.
More information in the press release.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get Grubhub+ for free, so that you don’t have to pay delivery fees.
Grubhub / Dunkin’
On March 9 and 10, 2024, if you order $7 or more from Dunkin’, on Grubhub, you’ll also get a free coffee.
