When does Daylight Saving Time start? Daylight Saving Time starts Sunday, March 8, 2026, and lasts until November 1, 2026. If you have clocks that don’t automatically adjust, you’ll need to set them ahead one hour, before you go to bed on Saturday, March 7.
Once Daylight Saving Time starts, you’ll get one extra hour of daylight in the evening, but one fewer hour of daylight in the morning. (Eventually, the number of daylight hours will increase, until the time of summer solstice, when they’ll start decreasing.)
Many people feel tired from losing that one hour of sleep on Saturday night / Sunday morning, so some businesses offer special deals to compensate for it.
