The Contentnea Fire Department, at 4146 NC Highway 42 W, Wilson, North Carolina, presents one of the most impressive Christmas light displays every year, and it’s free to visit! it boasts a 60-foot tall tree and over 25,000 lights.
The schedule was announced on Contentnea Fire Department’s Facebook page.

There will be a soft opening for the annual Christmas light display on Saturday, November 22, 2025, and then will be taking place every night from November 28 to December 31, 2025. The lights go on at 5:30 p.m.

In addition, Santa will be there almost every night. Pictures with Santa is just $6. Santa’s schedule (subject to change) is in the calendar above.
When you arrive, go to Santa registration. They’ll take your phone number and you’ll enter a virtual queue. You’ll receive a text when it’s time to see Santa. You’ll be able to check your place in line at any time.
December 2 and 9, 2025, will be Special Needs Nights. Please message the fire department to register.

Popcorn, hot chocolate, pizza, cotton candy, and more will be available.
