This is the seventh year that the church has put up the display.
This year, the church has added some new songs and more lights. “This light display is our gift to the community,” states Rev. Jeff McCarthy, Senior Pastor of Rose of Sharon. He, along with his staff came up with the idea as a way to provide a fun event for the whole family. “I’ve always enjoyed seeing synchronized light shows on houses,” he added, “so I thought, why can’t we do this as a church? This year, because of Covid-19, the light display is a good way for families and individuals to have a safe Christmas outing.”
From that idea, Rev. Jonathan Hendrickson, Associate Pastor and Worship leader at Rose of Sharon, formed a team to design the display, provide the synchronization, and hang the lights. Hendrickson states: “Our light display has become an event for so many families in our community. Even in July we have people asking if we are doing the lights again. So we are happy to offer this show for the seventh year in a row and are excited to make it even bigger than before.”Subscribe to Triangle on the Cheap
