The first Chapelboro Zinefest takes place Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Carrboro Town Commons, 301 W Main Street, Carrboro, North Carolina.
This free festival is a chance to explore zines and printed matter. It’s sponsored by The ArtsCenter of Carrboro.
Many artists will be sharing their work, which include instructional zines, personal zines, cartoons, art, photography, drawings, prints and more.
You can also enjoy hands-on activities and demos.
Fro example, CoLab Raleigh will offer live zine making with an old lo-fi technology: the Hectograph. Throughout the day, participants will draw purple pages that will be printed and assembled on site to make “WTF is CoLab, Volume 2! Hand-drawn, hands-on, collaborative, lo-fi, purple shenanigans!”
