The classic children’s game CandyLand has come to life again in Clayton!
CandyLand in the Garden is a life size, playable version of the game.
We’ve put together a huge list of holiday events in the Triangle, including parades, festivals, markets, Santa visits, and more. Check out our growing day by day list of holiday events in the Triangle!
It can be found at Main Street Garden, 439 E. Main Street, Clayton, through January 2nd, 2022, during these hours:
Monday to Friday: 2 to 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 1 to 4 p.m.
We don’t have information yet about holiday closures, but we’d suggest you check the CandyLand in the Garden Facebook page for any schedule changes, especially on Christmas and New Year’s Day. We’ll update here when we hear about the holiday schedule.
This magical attraction is a partnership between The Woman’s Club of Clayton and the Main Street Garden.
Visitors are welcome to just look around, but they can also actually play the game.
Eager players travel along the rainbow-colored trail, past the Peppermint Stick Forest and Gumdrop Mountain, navigating impediments like the Gingerbread Plum Tree and the Ice Cream Floats.
Delightful sweet treats decorate the garden and humans replace the wooden playing pieces of the past.
Players roll special dice that allow them to move either by color or by number, whichever they prefer.
As player advance, the winner is the one who reaches the Candy Castle first.
When kids turn in the dice they get a gold coin, which they can redeem in King Candy’s candy store for candy.
