Les Trois Chats excites audiences with an energetic recipe of hot club jazz in the tradition of Django Reinhardt with a dash of the infectious rhythm of classic swing in the style of the Benny Goodman and Charlie Christian sextets. The trio then cleanses the palate with relaxing Brazilian bossa nova for a dish of satisfying musical flavors. Les Trois Chats gathers skilled musicians throughout the Triangle area including Robert Striegler on guitar and vocals, Josh Brinkman on clarinet and sax, and Ian Finlay on upright bass.

Matt Southern is something of an open secret in the Triangle music community. He is a versatile musician, prolific songwriter and sympathetic collaborator. He has produced and engineered for a wide range of artists in the area (Dissimilar South, Kit McKay, Alexander Robichaud, Chompzz). Southern is also part of a team that produces the music video series ‘Live from the Nest’ which hosts local artists performing in his living room.
