WUNC is hosting a free event: Navigating Your K-12 Options on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Marbles Kids Museum, 201 E Hargett Street, Raleigh, North Carolina. Space is limited and registration is required.
WUNC News invites you to a community conversation exploring the key differences between traditional public schools, magnet programs, private schools, and charter schools. Join us for a clear, factual overview—and to hear from families in the Triangle who have made different choices for their children.
Fall is a busy time as you try to make decisions for next school year, so join WUNC to learn about your options.
Hosted by WUNC K-12 Education Reporter Liz Schlemmer, the live event will include:
- Complimentary drinks and snacks
- A kid-friendly play space in the Marbles Central Courtyard, featuring a WUNC tent and yard games
- Time to mingle with WUNC reporters and staff
- A panel discussion with expert guests
- An audience Q&A session
