Celebrate National Poetry Month with A Walk With Poetry—an immersive community-centered arts experience curated by spoken word artist Kiana Renee (aka CraziiKi) as part of SEEK Raleigh.
A Walk With Poetry takes place Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 12 to 6 p.m., at Shelley Lake Park, 1400 W Milbrook Road, Raleigh, North Carolina.
This is a free event, but (free) tickets are required for the guided poetry walks. Reserve on the Eventbrite page. No tickets are needed for the performances at the trailhead.
This unique poetry event invites the community to explore the beauty of language while enjoying the natural serenity of the park.
As you stroll through the greenery, you’ll encounter words that speak to identity, healing, joy, and truth, turning your walk into a journey of expression and discovery!
The program culminates in a powerful headlining performance by Dasan Ahanu, an award-winning poet, playwright, cultural organizer, performing artist, and scholar.
