Triangle Game Night is a group of board game enthusiasts who meet up at a variety of venues in the Triangle to play games. The group has a huge collection of board games–more than 265, including nostalgic games, like Hungry, Hungry Hippos, party games like Cards Against Humanity, and serious gamer games like 7 Wonders. Here’s a list of the games in the collection.
At events they bring out about 75 of the most popular games, and they add a new game every month, so there’s always something new.
Each game night is hosted by experienced game night staff, easily identified in a Triangle Game Night t-shirt. If you’re trying a new game, you’ll appreciate the demos at the beginning of the night.
Follow Triangle Game Night on Facebook, and you’ll find lots of details about all the events.
Here are some of their upcoming events. All are free to attend, but you’re encouraged to donate $1 to the game fund. Also, food and drink are available for purchase from the venues. Please tip your bartender. You’re also welcome to bring your own board game.
These events are a great, low-key date night, and also a good way to meet new people.
They also have a collection of giant games, like Giant Jenga, available for rental for parties.
Singles Awareness Day Reverse Stoplight Party
Thursday, February 14th, 2019
8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
2100 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh
From the Facebook page:
It’s been a while since we’ve had a good ol’ fashioned Stoplight Party and we can think of no better day than Valentines Day to have one – because NOBODY wants to be home alone on V-Day. This time we’re gonna throw a massive party at the Aloft Hotel in Raleigh.
While we’re hosting an exclusive Murder Mystery Party downstairs, upstairs on the 2nd floor, we’ll have our kick ass resident DJ Rickey playing some music for your drunken dancing enjoyment. We will also have Bucket Pong, Jenga and Connect4 for your gaming enjoyment.
As always, this event is 100% free. In fact, all singles in the room will receive a string of Mardi Gras beads too – as a way to tell each other apart.
Never been to a REVERSE stoplight party before? Well it’s easy – if you’re “single” wear red, if you’re “taken” wear green. If “it’s complicated” wear yellow. Why Reverse Stoplight Party? Well, as a former single lady, I appreciate being single in a red dress – so there you have it!
