On 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22nd, breweries in North Carolina were permitted to re-open. Many have been offering curbside pickup and delivery the last couple of months, and you can expect to see those services end or diminish at many breweries with the re-opening of their in-person service, although some breweries will continue to offer curbside and delivery services.
Some breweries have elected to take a little bit of extra time to make sure that their safety procedures are all in place before re-opening.
Also, please note that the restrictions in Durham are more stringent than the rest of the Triangle, so taprooms and beer gardens aren’t yet open in Durham.
Normally in the summer, breweries host food truck events, live music, comedy, trivia, dog adoption events, festivals and more. We might not see as many events, especially large events, this summer.
Also, you should find that breweries have implemented some new safety measures, including reduced capacity. Please respect whatever safety measures your favorite brewery has instituted.

Each link below is to the brewery’s Facebook page, where you’re most likely to see updates. Make sure to check with each brewery for hours, which might be different than they were last time you visited. The “Open” status below refers to taproom and/or patio seating. You should also find information on each brewery’s Facebook page about what new safety measures they’re taking.
Please evaluate the safety situation at the brewery (or anywhere) when you go. If it is too crowded for you to maintain a safe distance from other groups, or if sanitation procedures don’t seem to be in place, then you should use your own judgment about staying.
