Bulldog Ensemble Theater presents The Minutes on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at Chapel Hill Public Library, 100 Library Drive,, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
It’s free, but registration is required. This event is intended for adults.
The Minutes tells the story of an otherwise nondescript meeting of the Big Cherry town council. But when the previous meeting’s minutes go missing, it becomes clear that something unspeakable has happened. What follows is a reckoning with the community’s past and future. Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts (August: Osage County, Bug, Killer Joe) has crafted a razor-sharp look at the absurd and petty power games in small-town governance. The play premiered at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre in 2017, and on Broadway in 2022. It was a Pulitzer finalist and nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play. The Minutes runs approximately 90 minutes.
