The Hope Chest is a nonprofit organization that collects, inspects and repairs prom dresses through donations. The goal is to distribute dresses to girls who are in financial need so that they can attend prom.

The Hope Chest was started as a senior project by a girl who had been adopted out of the foster care system and who remembered what it felt like to have very little.
This year, The Hope Chest has over 1,000 dresses to distribute.
Their big one-day prom dress giveaway is on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m., at Pinehill Pavilion, 375 Moores Pond Road, Youngsville, North Carolina.
Registration is not required, but is strongly requested. Register here.
Also, volunteers are needed to set up, help girls shop, and tear down. Register here to volunteer.
