As part of North Carolina Science Festival, Triangle Land Conservancy is hosting one of the many Statewide Star Parties taking place across North Carolina.
TLC’s Statewide Start Party takes place Friday, April 4, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Three Bears Private Preserve, 711 Beaver Dam Road, Creedmoor, North Carolina.
Admission is free, but registration is required.
This event is for all ages, and will have lots of activities well suited for children.
Travel on a hike through the solar system to get to the stargazing site. When you are done dodging asteroids and learning about the planets, take a pit stop at each of the activity tables.
During the activities you will explore the wonders of our solar system, learn star stories, and uncover how astronomy inspires and benefits everyone, every day.
When dark begins to fall, play some nighttime games and look through real telescopes provided by the Raleigh Astronomy Club!
Travelin’ Tom’s will be offering warm beverages for purchase.
This is a free event, but pre-registration is required. Accessible indoor toilets will be available onsite, and the event will take place along gravel paths and a large grassy field. This is a completely outdoor event, so it’s suggested that you bring chairs and blankets, extra layers to keep warm, and a few snacks and a water bottle.
