Party with Bigfoot on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Cryptids with a Cause in Downtown Chapel Hill.
A cryptid is an creature that has been claimed, but not proven, to exist. Saxsquatch is definitely real, though. He’s the famous saxophone-playing Bigfoot who performs all over the place and who has amassed a considerable social media following. And guess what? He’s from Chapel Hill!
Meet at the intersection of Franklin and Columbia Streets at 5:30 p.m., where you can be part of a flash mob dancing along with Saxsquatch.
Then head to 140 West Franklin Plaza for a live DJ, community, and the chance to snag Saxsquatch swag.
Cryptids are especially welcome, so you’re encouraged to dress as the creature you think is out there: fairies, elves, extraterrestrials and more.
The event benefits PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro, which works to fight hunger in the community. Please bring a can of nonperishable food.
Please note that Saxsquatch will not be performing at 140 West Franklin Plaza, just at the flash mob.
