They care for a number of animal ambassadors, including snakes, owls, turtles, hawks, rabbits, and more.

“Shell-a-Brate” World Turtle Day

Join Piedmont Wildlife Center as they “shell-a-brate” World Turtle Day with their resident box turtles! This all-outdoor, relaxed event will include the unveiling of our new outdoor box turtle enclosure, box turtle activity booths, Turtle Treks, photo ops and meet-and-greets with live box turtles! You’ll even get the chance to learn how to participate in our citizen science project, Turtle Trekkers.
PWC’s own real-life turtle celebrity will also be making an appearance! Legacy, the mascot for the Box Turtle Connection, will be in attendance and ready to meet fans.
The event is FREE with a suggested $10 donation to help cover food costs and husbandry needs for the box turtles.
