Person County Museum of History, 309 N Main Street, Roxboro, North Carolina, is hosting Person Pre-History on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m.
At this free event, you can explore all things dinosaurs!
Paleontologist Kayleigh Long, a Roxboro native, will share her extensive knowledge of the dinosaurs and other creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago. She will also be exhibiting her collection of fossils and answering questions about prehistoric life in Person County.
Additional activities at this free event include:
- Dig-Your-Own Fossils
- Visits with Chickens hosted by Person County 4-H (the closest living beings to dinosaurs)
- Meet & Greets with rescue pets courtesy of Animal Protection Services of Person County
- Themed Games

This is an all-ages event.
Wilkerson Catering will be set-up from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special menu inspired by Duke’s Mayonnaise and summer tomatoes.
