Perkins Orchard, at 5749 Barbee Road, Durham, is Durham’s oldest and largest produce stand. They’ve been around for 50 years, and are open every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Perkins is well known for its $25 Bag Deal. For $25, fill a 1 peck bushel paper bag with as many fruits and vegetables as you can. The only items not included are jar goods, eggs and cheese. Everything else that they sell is eligible. If that’s not enough, when you buy a $25 bag, you get a FREE item as a bonus.
The deal used to be $20, but is going up to $25 August 29th, 2022, due to rising costs.
