Enjoy a free Japanese drumming performance on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5 to 6 p.m., at Holton Career Center, 401 N Driver Street, Durham, North Carolina.
Peaceful Forest features Takumi Kato, a professional Taiko drummer from Gifu, Japan, who has toured internationally with Kodo, one of Japan’s most renowned Taiko groups.
He now travels across the U.S. with his three children, performing as a family and carrying out their mission to complete 1,000 performances across all 50 states, spreading peace and cultural connection through music.
Please register here by October 15, 2025.
Parking is free: parking will be other side of building entering from either Taylor Street or Southgate Street.
Although the event is free, donations to the Kato family are welcome.
This event is hosted by POOF Teen Center Program.
