Free Community Day at Pauli Murray Center

The Pauli Murray Center is hosting a free community day on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Explore the childhood home of a twentieth-century human rights activist, legal scholar, author, labor organizer, poet, Episcopal priest, multiracial Black, LGBTQ+ Durhamite who lived one of the most remarkable lives of the 20th century.
Explore both the outdoor and indoor exhibits, highlighting the themes of identity, activism, and love. Staff and volunteers will be on site to help answer questions and welcome you to the space.
This free community day is sponsored by Durham LibraryFest! All members of the community are invited to enjoy the exhibits at no cost. Donations are always welcome to support this work.
