North Carolina Botanical Garden, at 100 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is holding its Spring Native Plant Sale on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There’s no admission charge.
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., pre-registration is required. Register for a timed entry slot here. (9 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.) Only one person in your vehicle needs to register. Space is limited, though, and these slots might fill up.
From 12 to 2 p.m., the sale will be open to everyone. No pre-registration required.
Growing Wild Nursery, Mellow Marsh Farm, Carolina Habitats (formerly Dirtbag Gardens), and the North Carolina Botanical Garden will be offering a wide variety of southeastern native perennials, vines, shrubs, trees, grasses, and carnivorous plants.
You must pay for your plants at each vendor this year. There will not be a consolidated check-out area. Please be sure to purchase your plants before walking away from each vendor’s area. All vendors will accept credit cards. Some vendors will accept additional forms of payment – please ask them for clarification before loading up.
