Museums for All is a nationwide program with the goal of making museums accessible to everyone in the community. Participating museums offer free or reduced admission for people receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits.)
Museums for All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and is administered by the Association of Children’s Museums.
Check out a big list of museums in the Triangle that are free to visit or that have free days.
The program is available to any type of museum, including art, history, natural history/anthropology, and general museums, children’s museums, science centers, planetariums, nature centers, historic houses/sites, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, and arboretums.
At participating museums, just show your SNAP EBT card for the reduced rate.
Over 1,000 museums throughout the United States participate. You can see the full list of participating museums here.
