The nearby town of Franklinton is hosting a Mardi Gras celebration on Saturday, March 1, 2025, starting at 1 p.m. It’s free to attend.
Franklinton is in the northeast corner of the Triangle. It’s about a 39 minute drive from Raleigh, but just a 15 minute drive from Wake Forest, and a 10 minute drive from Youngsville.
The celebration will take place in front of the Owls Roost on Main Street. Join in a people’s processional that makes its way down Main Street to Front Street and ends at the Owls Roost.
